Our Mission

Our mission is to advance the important role of Medical Affairs across the Life Sciences industry.  We will do this by:

  • Establishing standards of excellence across different Medical Affairs functions.
  • Building and maintaining a best in class training platform for Medical Affairs.
  • Creating a forum to facilitate meaningful dialogue on challenges and opportunities in medical affairs.

Our Vision

Establish Medical Affairs as a leading voice influencing healthcare policy and the education of (1) the medical community (2) patient organizations and (3) payors and market access.

Yes. The ACMA is a non-profit global organization registered in the state of NJ. We invest back into the life sciences community. For example, the ACMA has provided over $100,000 in scholarship funds to be used towards continuing education for industry professionals.
The ACMA has two boards. A US Board of Governors and an International Board. Board members are made up of world renowned physician thought leaders from Yale University School of Medicine, University of Chicago School of Medicine as well as leaders from within the pharmaceutical industry, colleges of pharmacy and subject matter experts in medical affairs, regulatory affairs and compliance.
Yes. The ACMA has been involved in discussions with regulatory agencies, policymakers and state officials to provide support, guidance and expertise in matters related to the pharmaceutical industry.

Yes. The ACMA has offices in the United States, Southeast Asia and South America.  We work with major organizations around the world such as the Canadian Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (CCPE), NYU School of Medicine, Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Maryland College of Pharmacy, the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Interfarma, and the Brazilian Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine (SBMF)  We are continuing to expand our global footprint by developing the first ever standards and guidance document for medical affairs professionals in the world.
